EigenLayer maintains a total value locked (TVL) of $18.02b according to DefiLlama. 

Phase 2 of the EIGEN stakedrop announced

Phase 2 of the Season 1 EIGEN stakedrop was officially announced June 19th. Phase 2 distributes EIGEN among DeFi users who engaged with Kelp, Pendle, Equilibrium, and other protocols before March 15th.

In total Season 1 distributed about 113 million EIGEN, 6.7% of the 15% of the total EIGEN supply set for stakedrops. Stakedrops are part of community allocations and will be distributed across many seasons. More news about the Season 2 distribution details in the coming weeks!

EigenDA supports Optimism’s Alt-DA Mode

Optimism enabled the Alt-DA mode for the OP Stack! OP Stack chains can now leverage this feature to submit transaction batches to any alternate data availability layer – including EigenDA! This brings the potential to unlock many integrations for EigenDA.

The Alt-DA Mode feature is still in beta, meaning Optimism core contributors are still improving Alt-DA Mode.

Layer N’s Testnet V1.2 is live! Layer N is a multi-tenant L2 blockchain, a network of independently-scalable custom execution environments. It leverages EigenDA, allowing for high throughput and lower costs.

AVS Spotlight: Xterio MACH

Xterio MACH was one of the very first AVS on EigenLayer Mainnet. It was launched by Xterio, a Web3 game developer and publisher founded by veterans of the game industry. 

Like DODOchain and Cyber, it was built with AltLayer’s restaked rollup MACH product to achieve fast finality for the Xterio L2. The restaked deposits through EigenLayer to secure MACH are used to attest to the validity of a given rollup’s state offering a fast finality layer for rollups. 

So far Xterio MACH is secured by 42 node operators and 93,822 stakers, with over 1,180,000 ETH in total value restaked.

According to the Eigen Foundation, within this week Phase 2 of the Season 1 stakedrop will be announced. Stakedrops are part of community allocations and will be distributed across many seasons. Missed testnet user allocations will be included into this phase.

Eigen Labs ∞ Rio Network

Eigen Labs announced the acquisition of the Rio Restaking team to accelerate our mission of creating an open, verifiable cloud. The experience and knowledge of the Rio Team will aid in Eigen Labs’s focus on growth.

The code and intellectual property is separately being acquired by the Eigen Foundation and will be open sourced as a reference implementation to better support new and developing LRTs.

Aligned Layer's third testnet is live!

Aligned Layer, a decentralized ZK proof verification layer, announced its third testnet.

This marks the first public testnet open to third party operators for the AVS. This testnet features support for multiple proof systems (Halo2, SP1 and Gnark), high throughput, with over 1000 proofs per second, and an overall 90% cost reduction for all proof systems supported. Developers can start verifying various types of proofs and posting the results for 10% of the usual cost on Ethereum.

Dual staking for Cyber

Cyber, the L2 designed for the social space built in using the OP-Stack and AltLayer’s MACH restaked rollup. MACH provides Cyber with fast finality with shared security guarantee and faster interoperability. Staked CYBER and restaked ETH are utilized as delegations to different AVS operators running its decentralized infrastructure (sequencer, verifier, and CyberDB).

Now, users can either delegate ETH and LSTs via EigenLayer AVS system or stake ALT and CYBER tokens to secure the Cyber MACH network. So far, Cyber MACH is secured by 45 operators and 72,050 total stakers.

AVS Spotlight: AltLayer

AltLayer is an open decentralized protocol that provides restaked rollups, a way to spin up rollups using stacks like the OP Stack, Arbitrum Orbit, ZK Stack, among others, combined with the ability to bootstrap network security through EigenLayer. 

AltLayer offers three restaked rollup products, VITAL for decentralized verification of rollup’s state, MACH for fast finality, and SQUAD for decentralized sequencing. Restaked rollups enable different protocols to easily establish their own AVS to fit their needs. So far, we have seen Xterio, DODOchain, and Cyber launch their own MACH AVS. The restaked deposits to secure MACH are used to attest to the validity of a given rollup’s state offering a fast finality layer for rollups. 

AltLayer MACH is a fast finality AVS for two of the largest rollups: OP Mainnet and Arbitrum One. Currently, AltLayer is secured by 42 node operators and 88,055 stakers, with over 1,328,000 ETH restaked.

Automata partners with RISC Zero

Automata Network, the modular attestation layer behind the Multi-Prover AVS, partners with RISC Zero to integrate their zkVM. RISC Zero’s zkVM is capable of proving any code in RISC-V compatible languages. Verifying SGX DCAP on-chain with RISC Zero zkEVM reduces Automata’s attestation verification costs by 8x, significantly reducing gas costs from 3 million to around 350K.

Eigenbeat reveals a new AVS, Cyber MACH, is showing up!

Cyber, previously known as CyberConnect, is an L2 designed for the social space built in partnership with AltLayer, using the OP-Stack. Cyber L2 launched on mainnet last month and joined Optimism’s Superchain.

Ferrule: on further decentralizing Farcaster with AVS

Anagram released an article proposing a novel framework to further decentralize Farcaster through Ferrule, a protocol proposing a novel design of Farcaster hubs operating as an AVS. 

Ferrule would enable anyone to build their own client for Farcaster, make centralization less viable by rewarding correct hub behavior, while ensuring Hubs operate verifiably and securely. A core part of Ferrule is leveraging Ferrule MPC, a library to run client or connected apps that uses Multi-Party Computation to jointly compute functions and ensure data confidentiality.

Omni is an Ethereum-native interoperability protocol that establishes low latency communications between all Ethereum rollups. It does so by offering a secure and compatible architecture across all Ethereum rollups that facilitates operability and experience to users and developers. Omni provides:

• A unified development platform for apps, available across multiple chains.

Everclear 🤝 Hyperlane

Everclear is live on testnet as of yesterday.  Previously known as Connext, Everclear coordinates the global settlement of liquidity between chains and cuts the cost & complexity of rebalancing by up to 10x. The system is built as an Arbitrum Orbit rollup, and as part of their quest to solve fragmentation, integrates Hyperlane with an EigenLayer ISM to connect their clearing layer to other chains.

AVS Spotlight: Lagrange’s ZK Prover Network

Lagrange Labs launched its second AVS, after Lagrange State Committees (LSC) being one of the first AVS on EigenLayer. While LSC’s decentralized network of nodes attest to the finality of blocks within an optimistic rollup. Lagrange’s Prover Network provides reliable proving of different types of computation, while creating a granular marketplace where complex queries are met with predictable proof categorization and generation.

The network consists of two primary actors: Gateways and Provers. Each Gateway is connected to Provers in the network, and is responsible for managing a queue of work that different Provers commit to perform. The first Gateway, deployed by Lagrange Labs, powers Lagrange’s ZK Coprocessor.

Operators run Provers committing to generating proofs within a given time period by submitting collateral and agreeing to penalties if they don’t comply with their tasks. Their assigned tasks are based on the amount of work they’re able to process, as defined by their stake. 

Currently, Lagrange ZK Prover AVS is secured by 37 operators and 36,000+ stakers, with over 1,447,000 ETH restaked.

EigenDA Dual Quorum and Production Traffic Announcement

EigenDA announced that the dual quorum model, staking through $ETH and AVS tokens, is now available for EigenDA on mainnet. Initially, it was launched with ETH as the first quorum and EIGEN as the second. EIGEN holders will be able to stake to EigenDA operators, and those operators can opt in to EigenDA’s dual quorum, adding more security to the network.

Additionally, EigenDA is now supporting production traffic for any rollup! This introduces the first alt-DA solution running in production secured by restaked ETH.

Espresso Testnet 5, Cappuccino, is focused on HotShot – a fast finality layer that rollups can share for much quicker confirmations than the Ethereum L1 provides. HotShot enables fast bridging and more seamless interoperability between rollups.

HotShot runs on 100 nodes distributed geographically across 6 continents, which further decentralizes the system and supports more secure rollup preconfirmations.

Lagrange State Committees 🤝 Arbitrum

After Lagrange’s recent integration of its State Committees and ZK Coprocessor with Base, the State Committees—Lagrange’s ZK light client protocol powered by our ZK Coprocessor—have also integrated with Arbitrum.

This enables trustless and efficient cross-chain state access for Arbitrum developers. Looking ahead, Lagrange plans to also integrate its ZK Coprocessor with Arbitrum, allowing developers to perform cheaper queries from Arbitrum directly within their smart contracts.

AVS Spotlight: Lagrange State Committees

Lagrange’s mission is to enable large-scale verifiable computation over blockchain data using its hyper-parallel ZK Coprocessor.

Lagrange State Committees (LSC) is an app built on this coprocessor. It acts as an efficient ZK light client for optimistic rollups that settle on Ethereum. LSC comprises a decentralized network of nodes that attest to the finality of blocks within an optimistic rollup. These attestations generate state proofs or aggregated ZK proofs, providing applications with a reliable source of truth for the state of the rollup.

Currently, Lagrange State Committees AVS is secured by 50 operators and 69,700+ stakers, with over 2,087,000 ETH restaked.

TVL watch: $14.5b

After days of opening $EIGEN claims, EigenLayer has a total value locked (TVL) of $14.475b according to DefiLlama. 

EIGEN claims are open

Season 1 Rewards Are Here! All eligible users can begin claiming their EIGEN tokens until September 7th. 

Season 1 will allocate approximately 113 million EIGEN. In Phase 1, 6.05% of the initial supply can be claimed, and Phase 2 will extend that to 6.75% in mid-June 2024. Across all Seasons, Eigen Foundation will distribute 15% of EIGEN to the community.

Puffer Mainnet 🐡

After much anticipation, last week Puffer the native Liquid Restaking Protocol built on EigenLayer. Puffer introduces native Liquid Restaking Tokens (nLRTs) that accrue Proof of Stake and restaking rewards. 

Nodes within the protocol leverage Puffer’s anti-slashing technology to reduce risks. With the launch of the Mainnet, users can now deposit native ETH, stETH, and wstETH, and also delegate EIGEN to puffer operators.

Lyra announces tokenized derivatives yield on EigenLayer

Lyra introduces a new onchain primitive for derivatives yield: the tokenized trading account. “In the background, this account executes a predefined strategy transparently and onchain, compounding LPs with real yield in ETH and USDC on their LRT collateral.”

Users can now deposit LRTs into Lyra, minting a yield-bearing LRT usable across protocols. Through tokenized basis trade and covered call strategies, users earn increased APYs on their LRTs. Initially, Lyra supports Etherfi’s eETH and Swell’s rwsETH.

Near’s Fast Finality Layer on Holesky

NEAR Fast Finality Layer (NFFL), is led by NEAR in collaboration with Nethermind and EigenLabs. NFFL aims to address the issues of fragmentation while achieving faster transaction finality across Ethereum’s Layer 2 rollups, leveraging Near’s validator features and EigenLayer restaking.

AVS Spotlight: OpenLayer

OpenLayer is the modular authentic data layer designed to modernize traditional data flows. OpenLayer offers a modular solution to coordinate data collection, validation and transformation.

OpenLayer’s first product OpenOracle, user-operated data oracle built on Eigenlayer. OpenOracle provides functionalities of existing oracles in a faster and cheaper manner. By leveraging user operated nodes, OpenOracle democratizes data streams and decreases the cost of creating and consuming data feeds. Furthermore, as data streams can be brought onchain optimistically and verified through cryptographic proofs, OpenOracle does not require complex consensus between nodes.

OpenLayer is backed by a16z CSX, Geometry Ventures, among others, and has worked on grants from the Ethereum Foundation, Arbitrum, and Optimism. It currently is secured by 34 operators, 42,200+ stakers and has over 1,522,000 ETH restaked.

TVL watch

A week after announcing EIGEN, today EigenLayer reached a total value locked (TVL) of $15.3B according to DefiLlama. 

Updated EIGEN allocations to the community

In response to community feedback, the Eigen Foundation will allocate 100 tokens to all users who’ve interacted with EigenLayer before April 29th to cover their gas costs.
This results in:

• Season 1 users receive a minimum of 110 EIGEN (floor of 10 EIGEN + newly awarded 100 EIGEN). 

• Season 2 users who staked between March 15th and April 29th receive a minimum of 100 EIGEN.

Amounts will be reflected in allocations claimed after May 10th. 

Additionally the team clarified that tokens for Investors and the team lockup for 1 year after transferability is enabled to the community (estimated for september 30th). And that missed testnet user allocations will be updated as part of Phase 2 of Season 1.

Aligned Layer Testnet in EigenLayer

Aligned Layer is building a decentralized network of verifiers that can check proofs from any proof system in a fast and cost-effective way, and its testnet is now live on EigenLayer.

Aligned Layer’s design allows developers to choose whether to wait for a proof through the established validation in Ethereum, or opt for a fast mode verification. In its technical announcement, the team breaks down the reasons why it can achieve faster verification, including its use of alternative DA layers, leveraging parallelization, among others.

Additionally, this week Aligned Layer announced partnerships with Electron Labs, who is building a universal zk-proof aggregator, and Kakarot, the ZK Rollup built on the Cairo stack.

Altlayer launches reALT token

Phase II of AltLayer's staking introduces reALT, the restaked ALT Token. 

ReALT is a ERC20 token that is issued to those who stake ALT in the main staking pool. ReALT introduces the ability to simultaneously participate in multiple pools, allowing for maximum exposure to other restaked rollup communities and incentives. Additionally, the new restaking design via reALT offers weekly auto-compounding of ALT staking rewards and eliminates the need to unstake from the main ALT staking pool to participate in LaunchPools.

Lagrange announced its partnership with Polymer to enhance blockchain interoperability.

This integration aims to bring more reliability and faster transactions for Optimistic rollups. It will combine the capabilities of Lagrange’s State Committee, acting as a ZK light client, with Polymer’s interoperability hub for Ethereum, which leverages the Inter-Blockchain Communication standard.

Coinbase Dev announces EigenDA will be the first AVS they will support as an EigenLayer operator. As more AVSs are online, Coinbase will assess and roll out their support for other AVSs.

Ether.fi is live on Base! Base users can now interact with Etherfi and access the benefits of re-staking natively on Base without bridging. This integration is aimed to onboard more users into crypto and facilitate the access and user experience of the staking ecosystem.

After announcing EIGEN and reaching a new ATH yesterday ($16.3B), today EigenLayer reached a total value locked of $14.7B, according to DefiLlama.

EIGEN stake-drop is here

Yesterday, EigenLayer announced its native token, distributed by the Eigen Foundation. This token differs from usual one-token governance token models. 

Token Allocation

With a total supply of 1.67B, the foundation has allocated 45% of tokens to the community, composed of 15% towards stakedrops, 15% to community initiatives and 15% towards ecosystem development. Stakedrops will be distributed across many seasons, beginning with a 5% drop of the token supply to active users (snapshot March 15th).

Claiming begins on May 10th with a 120 day claiming window. The token will not be transferable initially to foster consensus around its utility. You can check your eligibility on claims.eigenfoundation.org

Introducing intersubjective forking 

The token model allows for a crypto-economic security system that enables a disputing mechanism of intersubjective challenges. These types of challenges arise from events that any observers can identify offchain and social consensus can be agreed upon, but that can be difficult to objectively identify onchain.

EigenLayer proposes a two token model where EIGEN is the tradable, “fork unaware” token and bEIGEN is the staking token which is “fork aware”. If a challenge is raised, bEIGEN can be forked into the agreed-upon state without affecting EIGEN.

This model builds a path for EigenLayer to withstand a complex attack, making it more resistant to corruption within the node operator set.

• Check eligibility claims.eigenfoundation.org and claim the EIGEN drop May 10th. 

• Once available you can delegate and begin securing EigenDA through EIGEN.

Introducing the Eigen Foundation

EigenLayer has introduced the Eigen Foundation, an independent, shareholder-less entity dedicated to accelerating the growth of the EigenLayer ecosystem. The foundation will be in charge of distributing the EIGEN token and supporting the ecosystem through research, grant programs, and providing third-party evaluations.

Automata’s Multi-Prover AVS on mainnet

Last Friday, Automata announced its launch on EigenLayer mainnet, with Linea and Scroll as launch partners. Automata’s AVS already has 22,700+ stakers and is secured by 28 Operators including 01 Node, AltLayer, EigenYields, among others.

AltLayer <> Polyhedra's zkBridge

AltLayer announced its integration with Polyhedra's zkBridge features, facilitating trustless interoperability for AltLayer’s rollups across more than 30 L1 and L2s like Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, among other networks. 

AltLayer’s rollups will benefit from Polyhedra’s security model, which integrates ZK proofs. “Devs deploying via [AltLayer’s] RaaS will enjoy greater security,  interoperability and a smooth on-chain experience with minimal gas consumption. They will benefit from fast message passing and secure asset bridging.”

This announcement follows AltLayer’s partnership announcement with Nebra, bringing ZK proof aggregation to rollups.

Ankr's Rollup as a Service (RaaS) now integrates with Hyperlane. Hyperlane is the first permissionless interoperability framework that facilitates seamless connections between blockchains. Its features include bridging, modular security, and multi-VM support, and seamlessly integrates with Ankr RaaS, bringing more capabilities to Ankr and its builders.

AVS Spotlight: Automata

Automata Network is a modular attestation layer that extends machine trust to Ethereum with TEE Coprocessors. Its coprocessors extend the functionality of Ethereum with secure computation in isolated enclaves known as Trusted Execution Environments (TEE). TEEs generate attestations that provide publicly verifiable evidence on hardware authenticity, software integrity and prover identity.

Automata’s Multi-Prover AVS enables other decentralized systems such as rollups or L2s to bootstrap the TEE Prover as a secondary proving mechanism. A Multi-Prover system hardens security and minimizes the system’s susceptibility to bugs, with robustness reinforced by TEE Committees. It currently is secured by 28 operators, 22,770+ stakers and has over 876,000 ETH TVL.

A week after removing LST caps and unpausing staking deposits, today EigenLayer reaches an all-time high total value locked (TVL) of $15.5B at the time of posting according to DefiLlama. 

REZ Token Launch

Renzo Protocol will begin its decentralization process on April 30th with the launch of the REZ, its native token. This is what you need to know:

• User who sell their ezETH holdings before April 26th (end of Season 1) may not be eligible for the airdrop.

• REZ can be claimed from May 2nd 2024, with the largest wallets subject to a 50% unlock at TGE and 50% linear, vesting over 6 months.

• Renzo ezPoints will be used to airdrop 500M REZ to Season 1 participants (5% of the total supply of REZ), in a linear fashion according to each user's accumulated ezPoints.

• Unclaimed tokens or unvested tokens by users exiting early will be reallocated to loyal users.

EigenLayer is a Safe{Pass} program partner

Safe is embarking on a journey towards widespread adoption of smart accounts. Safe is launching Safe {Pass}, a program that rewards new and existing users for their active participation within the Safe Ecosystem. This initiative includes various rewards from Safe and program partners that are also pushing towards smart account adoption — including EigenLayer, ENS, Euler, Rainbow, and Wormhole.

Omni Armageddon is live

On April 22nd, Omni Network launched Armageddon, the phase 1 of mainnet launch. Users can now delegate on EigenLayer to help secure the network. This marks the first milestone and the beginning of Omni's mainnet rollout.

Othentic raises $4M seed funding

Othentic announced its $4M in seed funding led by Finality Capital Partners and Breyer Capital. Othentic is building an orchestration layer to power distributed systems with shared security by providing self-deployed infrastructure.

The Othentic Stack is a library of production-ready components that enables services to deploy infrastructure. Its framework for stateless rollups allows AVS developers to deploy custom computational services over trustless execution environments and deploy a network of operators that run arbitrary compute tasks. AVS developers can also utilize the Othentic Task Consensus to execute, validate, and approve diverse computational tasks, enabling customizable services and applications.

Automata's Multi-Prover AVS live on testnet

Last week Automata Network announced its Multi-Prover is live on the Holesky testnet. With A41, Pier Two, Staketab and among 21 operators to validate their transactions and 1,000+ stakers, the AVS already has 112K ETH TVL.

Brevis is a smart zero-knowledge coprocessor that empowers smart contracts to read from, verify and utilize the full historical on-chain data from any chain and run customizable computations in a completely trust-free way. Use cases include zkBridges, ZK identity, social account abstraction, data-driven dApps among others.

Brevis coChain accepts coprocessing requests from smart contracts and optimistically generates the results secured by a restaking quorum. Brevis was one of the first AVSs to go live on mainnet. It currently is secured by 57 operators, 27,900+ stakers and has over 1,093,000 ETH TVL.

Liquid Restaking Protocol Spotlight: Swell

Swell is a decentralized and non-custodial protocol that offers liquid staking and restaking of ETH. Users earn yield  and maintain liquidity of their assets through LST or LRT tokens.

Additionally, Swell L2 will soon be available — a Layer 2 dedicated to restaking, built as a restaked rollup on the Polygon CDK. Swell L2 leverages EigenDA and Polygon’s AggLayer technology in collaboration with AltLayer, Chainlink, and Redstone.

This development expands the Swell ecosystem by integrating staking, restaking, and L2 operations, enhancing security and efficiency on the Ethereum network.

LST caps removed & restaking deposits unpaused

Today EigenLayer removed all LST caps and unpaused deposits. Restakers can now explore uncapped LSTs or natively restake with EigenPods on the Restaking App. EigenLayer supports Lido, Rocket Pool, Swell, Stader, Coinbase, Stakewise, Binance, Ankr, Origin, Mantle, Frax, and Liquid Collective’s LSTs. AVSs live on Mainnet

Last week 6 AVSs became the first group of AVSs to join EigenDA on Mainnet.

• Altlayer MACH restaked rollup, a fast finality AVS for OP rollups

• Eoracle, the Ethereum native oracle joins as an Actively Validated Oracle network

• Witness Chain, the DePIN Coordination Layer launches its Rollup Watchtower network

• Brevis, the Zk + cryptoeconomic coprocessor AVS

• Lagrange State Committees joins as a ZK AVS 

• Xterio MACH, a fast finality AVS that serves the Xterio rollup

What does this mean for stakers? Stakers can now secure them.

What does this mean for operators? Operators can now run and validate their actions. Each AVS is working closely with an initial operator set, but will progressively extend their amount of operators. Want to become an operator for them? Fill out their Intake Forms.

TVL watch: $12.5b

EigenLayer total value locked (TVL) decreased down to $11.5b during the weekend and oscillated back to $12.5b after last week’s $13.2b as per DeFi Llama.

Aligned Layer raises $2.6M

Aligned Layer, the ZK proof verification layer, raised $2.6M in a Seed round led by Lemniscap. The raised amount included the participation of Angels such as EigenLayer’s Sreeram Kannan, Bankless Ventures and Paper Ventures, and the strategic investments of Starkware and O(1)Labs.

As an AVS, Aligned Layer enables affordable and fast ZK proof verification for all proof systems, facilitating the development of apps. Aligned Layer’s Mainnet launch is expected in Q2 2024.

Espresso partners with 100 nodes for Cappuccino testnet

Espresso will be decentralizing the set of nodes running its fast finality layer in its upcoming testnet. This finality layer of Espresso is powered by HotShot. Espresso announced last week its partnership with 100 nodes which will run HotShot consensus, providing users with more secure BFT preconfirmations and improving Espresso’s performance and security.

Look out for the Cappuccino testnet, expected late April 2024.

EigenDA AVS stats a week since Mainnet launch

A week since launching on Mainnet, EigenDA has 51 operators who opted into validating, 18,993 stakers with:

• 425,500+ ETH of delegated stake

• 170,400+ ETH in Liquid Staking Tokens

'Euclid' Testnet Launched by Lagrange for Enhanced ZK Coprocessing

'Euclid' introduces the first-ever Verifiable Database, enabling developers to perform cost-effective and efficient queries on historical blockchain data. This testnet stands out by verifiably indexing and constructing databases from blockchain data, which are then processed and proven in parallel, significantly enhancing query capabilities and scalability.

This sets the stage for launching our ZK Coprocessor as an AVS on EigenLayer.

AVS Spotlight: Witness Chain

Witness Chain is building the coordination layer to unify De-centralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) economies. 

By becoming an AVS, EigenLayer infrastructure can now be utilized to achieve consensus on physical state. Unverified physical attributes of DePIN networks can now become measured, verifiable digital proofs. These proofs can later be attested or challenged, and consumed by apps or chains to build products and services.

Witness Chain Diligence Watchtowers are live on mainnet. Watchtowers are the  first line of defense for rollups, ensuring that operators actively validate transactions on a Rollup and detect any fraudulent execution.

Liquid Restaking Protocol Spotlight: Renzo

Renzo is a protocol in the Ethereum network that streamlines liquid restaking of ETH. The protocol aims to abstract all complexity from the end-user and enables easy collaboration between them and EigenLayer node operators. Renzo runs a distributed Ethereum validator infrastructure powered by Figment, P2P.org, and Luganodes to enable unrestricted participation on Eigenlayer.

Users can deposit native ETH or LSTs to stake, convert it into Renzo’s liquid staking token, ezETH, and engage in restaking through EigenLayer.

EigenLayer announced Mainnet launch!

As of today:

• Restakers can delegate their entire stake to an Operator of their choice.

• Operators can register with EigenLayer and opt-in to running AVSs.

• AVSs can register with the protocol, starting with EigenDA.

Until now, users could deposit LSTs, or set validator withdrawal credentials to an EigenPod. Now that operators and EigenDA are live, you can delegate to one of the top 200 operators.

EigenLayer reaches total value locked (TVL) of over $13.2b as per DeFi Llama, reaching an all-time high of $13.6B in recent days

Eoracle becomes the first Ethereum-native oracle AVS

Eoracle is the first Ethereum-native oracle designed as a modular and programmable data layer secured by Ethereum and built with EigenLayer. 

Leveraging Ethereum's security through EigenLayer, Eoracle will provide secure connections to off-chain data and computation for decentralized applications, supporting permissionless innovation on-chain.

Fhenix partners with EigenLayer to develop FHE coprocessors

Last week Fhenix announced its FHE coprocessors will be developed in partnership with EigenLayer.

A FHE coprocessor is able to conduct computing tasks in a more efficient way than a central coprocessing unit by allowing fully homomorphic encryption, computing over encrypted data without having to decrypt its information. 

Computations will be secured by Fhenix’s optimistic rollup, leveraging EigenLayer’s cryptoeconomic security which facilitates faster verification by operators.

Staketab joins as a node operator

Staketab, the professional staking provider, announced its role as a node operator for EigenLayer and EigenDA. Operators within the EigenLayer ecosystem perform validation tasks for different Actively Validated Services (AVS).

Staketab is already in touch with different protocols and AVS such as Near, Omni, Gasp, Witness Chain, Eoracle, and Drosera.

Liquid Restaking Protocol Spotlight: Ether.fi

Ether.fi is a protocol in the Ethereum network that streamlines liquid restaking of ETH. Users can stake their ETH, convert it into EtherFi's liquid staking token, eETH, and engage in restaking through EigenLayer, receiving a liquid receipt token in return.

This system preserves their asset liquidity while staked, enabling them to utilize these receipt tokens in diverse DeFi applications. Moreover, Ether.fi allow the participation in the validation of AVSs, expanding their involvement in the network's security and functionality.
